Custom Franchise CRM
The $75K platform out. Your CRM in.✦
I replace franchise management platforms (FranConnect and friends) with a custom CRM built around how your team actually sells, opens, and supports franchises. You own the code, the data, and the roadmap. No per-seat pricing, no renewal negotiation, no feature request dying in a vendor queue.
One build. You own it.
“Is there a real alternative to FranConnect?”
LinzEO. A custom franchise CRM from the practitioner who replaced a $75K/yr FranConnect deployment with one build: your pipeline, your compliance trail, your code.

Why franchisors outgrow the platform
Module by module, where the big platforms lose you.
I ran franchise development on one of these platforms before I replaced it, so this list comes from the inside. The modules have names like Sales, Opener, Info Manager, and Royalty Manager. Here is how each one plays out, and what I build instead.
The sales module (their pipeline, not yours)
The snag
Generic stages, required fields your team ignores, and workarounds in spreadsheets within a month. The CRM becomes a place data goes to be forgotten.
The fix
A pipeline modeled on your actual process, with next-step logic that reads the stage and the documents so no candidate falls through a gap.
Compliance and document modules
The snag
FDD delivery, receipts, and disclosure timing scattered across an add-on module, email, and hope. Auditing it means logging into three places.
The fix
FDD delivery with a working compliance clock, in-system e-signature, and tamper-evident records of exactly what was signed and when.
The opening module
The snag
Milestone templates built for an average brand. Your openings are not average, so the checklist lives in a spreadsheet anyway.
The fix
Opening and onboarding workflows that match how your brand gets a location from signed to open.
Reporting and BI modules
The snag
Your own numbers, behind a report builder you fight with, in a module that may be priced separately. Simple questions take a support ticket.
The fix
Dashboards on your own database. Any question your data can answer, answered in a view your team opens daily.
The pricing model
The snag
Per module, per seat, per year, with an increase at every renewal. You are renting access to your own pipeline.
The fix
One flat build. After launch you pay hosting costs measured in tens of dollars a month, plus support only if you want it.
Your data, their schema
The snag
Leaving feels impossible because exports are partial. I have run this migration: some data, like SMS history, had no export at all.
The fix
Your data in your own database, nightly backups you hold, and a full recovery pass from the old platform while it is still alive.
You do not need fourteen modules. You need the six your team uses, built your way.

Franchisors ask
The custom CRM questions,
answered.
Can a custom CRM really replace FranConnect?+
For franchise development and the day-to-day sales operation, yes, and I have done it: pipeline, FDD delivery, e-signature, documents, candidate records, reporting. If you lean hard on modules like frontline training or royalty invoicing across hundreds of units, we scope that honestly up front. Sometimes the right answer is replace the sales side and integrate the rest. The whole build is documented, win by win, on my wins feed.
What does it run on, and what if you disappear?+
Boring, proven infrastructure: a managed database and a standard hosting platform, documented so any developer could pick it up. The accounts are opened in your name and the code is yours from day one, so nothing is held hostage. Including by me.
Why $35,000 flat?+
Because scoped-in-writing beats billed-by-surprise. My last replacement retired a $75K-a-year platform bill, so the build paid for itself before the first renewal would have hit. If your migration is unusually large I will say so in the quote, not in an invoice later.
How long does the build take?+
Six to ten weeks for the core system, including migrating your existing candidates, documents, and signatures. Your team sees working software weekly while it is built, not a reveal at the end.
We are mid-contract with our platform. When should we start?+
Before the renewal, and before you cancel anything. The data capture is the step that takes longer than anyone budgets (some record types have no export at all), so the first step is a full recovery pass while the old system is still alive. SEO and lead flow stay untouched the whole time; if you also want the demand side handled, that is my franchise SEO work.
Do you also run the marketing that fills the CRM?+
That is the other half of my shop. The CRM is where inquiries land; franchise lead generation is how they get there. Brands that do both with me get one attribution story from first click to signed agreement.
