The playbook

QSR SEO is its own problem set.

This isn't single-restaurant marketing run fifty times. Six things break on almost every QSR franchise I audit. Here is each one, and exactly how I fix it across every location you run.

Menu pages

The snag

Menus live in PDFs, ordering iframes, or images. Google can't parse a JPEG menu and AI can't recommend dishes it can't read.

The fix

HTML menus with Menu schema per location: items, prices, dietary flags. Your menu becomes the answer to “gluten-free burger near me.”

Delivery-portal leak

The snag

DoorDash and Uber Eats outrank your own site for your own brand name, then take a cut of every order they intercept.

The fix

Brand-SERP defense and direct-ordering pages that win the click back, so the margin stays yours.

Location pages

The snag

One template page per city with the city name swapped. Google treats it as doorway spam; AI ignores it.

The fix

Location pages with real local signals: hours, drive-thru, photos, local schema, and market-specific copy that earns the rank.

Craving keywords

The snag

Tacos, wings, burgers, coffee: every craving owns its own SERP in every metro, and the aggregators own them all.

The fix

Craving-level landing pages per market, so you rank for what people actually search instead of one generic “restaurant” term.

Google Business Profiles

The snag

Wrong hours after a remodel, no menu link, unanswered reviews. Listings drift the moment a GM turns over.

The fix

A GBP playbook store managers can actually run: categories, menu links, photos, review replies, plus the audit that catches drift.

AI answers

The snag

ChatGPT recommends your competitor when someone asks “best late-night food near me,” and you don't even know it's happening.

The fix

Monthly AI-visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. You see who's cited and exactly what to do about it.

Built once for your brand, then rolled out to every location, every new opening, every market you enter.

QSR operators ask

QSR franchise SEO, answered.

Do you replace our ordering platform?+

No. SEO sits at the brand-site layer, so your ordering stack stays where it is. I work around Olo, Toast, ChowNow and the delivery apps. Menus get rendered so search engines can read them, but the ordering flow never changes.

Do you work with multi-brand restaurant groups?+

Yes. I run multi-brand portfolios where the parent owns several concepts and each needs its own local strategy. The framework’s the same; the menus and competitive maps are different per brand.

What if our locations are on a different platform?+

Fine. The strategy doesn’t care about the CMS. WordPress, Webflow, Duda, BentoBox or a custom build, I’ll work in whatever you’ve got. I just have a strong opinion on the right stack when there’s a rebuild on the table.

How long until we see results?+

Technical fixes and GBP cleanup can move local-pack rankings inside 60 days. Content and AI-visibility wins run 90 to 180 days. I’ll tell you in the audit which wins are short cycle and which need patience.

What does it cost?+

Engagements scale with location count and complexity. Most franchise programs run $4k to $12k a month: far less than a 40-person agency, far more than a junior freelancer. The audit is free; pricing comes after I’ve seen what you actually need.
